1) Fokof's album

It all kicked off with the boys of Fokofpolisiekar sending their crowdfunding fans their new album, Selfmedikasie, mahala in their inboxes a month before the full-length album is due to be officially launched. (Find out more here)

Another local star that made us glow with pride was Khanyi Mbau whose newly launched app skyrocketed to number 2 on the Apple store just a few days after its launch.
