Rapper Curtis Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, filed for a bankcrupcy on Monday (July 14 2015). This came after the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ rapper was ordered to pay $5 million in an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit.
The Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filed by 50 Cent does not mean he is broke but that did not stop Twitterverse from throwing shade on the matter.

50 Cent was the most searched for term on Monday and continued to trend even on Tuesday and Wednesday
In 2010 50 Cent angirily tweeted about his grandmother making him take out the trash. This of course came back to haunt him
Looks like 50 cent WILL be taking out his grandmother's garbage! pic.twitter.com/omIbMxh6cC

And then there was the wordplay on Curtis Jackson’s alias, and few other celebrities names were thrown in for good measure
50 Cent is broke, Dr. Dre is not a real Doctor and Vanilla Ice always ordered hot chocolate. I can't cope.

But those who did not give into reading just the headlines tried to put the record straight
50 Cent is filing bankruptcy because he's getting sued and will have to pay less that way. You're welcome, people who only read headlines
