7de Laan actress back on set

Cape Town - Just a day after she was involved in a car accident, soap actress Themsie Times, who plays Maria in SABC2 soap 7de Laan, was back on set, according to Huisgenoot.

According to ER24, the actress's front left tire burst and she was left stranded on the N1 highway between Gordon and Maraisburg Roads in Johannesburg. This is when a lady in a BWM crashed into her Audi Sedan.

Paramedics had to rescue Themsie from the wreckage and she was flown to Helen Joseph Hospital where X-rays were taken to survey the extent of her injuries.

God protected her

According to the actress nothing was broken and she believes that God had been "protecting" her during the accident.

Even at the hospital, nurses and doctors recognised her and started taking photos of her. "Even while I was laying on the stretcher to be taken to the hospital, people were saying: 'It's Maria from 7de Laan' – even the nurses at the hospital," the actress told Huisgenoot.

The cast of the soap welcomed Themsie back, saying they are grateful that nothing serious had happened to her.
