Amor finds 'true role' as actress

Johannesburg - Amor Vittone has found a new vocation. After years as a singer, dancer and television personality, she has found a new role in theater which she finds very fulfilling.

Vittone is cast as Sheba in the new production titled, Streets of Gold. In the play, she plays a voluptuous, sexy woman "who gets everything that she wants".

For the role, Vittone dons a tight leather corset paired with a pair of sky-high heels.

She mentions that she initially hesitated to take on the role because she was worried that her fans might object to her playing such a sensual character.

However, Vittone decided to take the part, since she hopes that her fans will understand that she is merely "acting a role"- and that she is still a single mother, a friend and a daughter to her parents.

Romance

Vittone was recently spotted dining with alleged crime boss Glenn Agliotti, which sparked rumours of a relationship between the two.

Both parties however denied the rumours with Agliotti adding: "At least Amor has good taste, because she dines with The godfather. And yes, my wife knew about our rendezvous. She gave her permission. She was working while Amor and I had lunch".

Vittone explained that Agliotti’s wife, Lelani, is her stylist and one of her best friends and that she is certainly not thinking about romance at the moment.

"I will only start thinking about romance when I’m officially divorced. For now I just want to be a good mother. And my new album is on the way".

Amor Vittone will be joined by theatre veterans Fiona Ramsay, Tumisho Masha and Samantha Peo.

Streets of Gold opens March 24 in the Lyric Theatre in Gold Reef City Casino in Johannesburg.
