Cape Town - Another well-known 5FM DJ is moving on.

Anele Mdoda, who currently hosts the 12:00 to 15:00 slot with Grant Nash on the station, will be moving to 94.7 Highveld Stereo in the drive time slot in April.

94.7 Highveld Stereo posted the following update to their Twitter page on Wednesday:

"@Anele is coming back to @947Highveld to rev up Afternoon Drive!!! #greatnews"

Anele and Grant Nash hosted an evening show on 94.7 Highveld a few years before joining 5FM.

Anele responded to tweets of congratulations and sadness at her exit on Twitter: "5fm will be just fine ! More room to bring on New talent and grow radio as a whole !"

Current 94.7 drive time host Mark Pilgrim will still host the station's Kia Take 40 SA chart on Saturdays and co-host Bailey Schneider will also be moving on, according to the station's Twitter updates.

According to a statement released by 5FM, Anele's co-host Grant Nash "is retiring from radio in order to further himself spiritually".

Grant and Anele will reveal more regarding their plans on The Grant & Anele Show on Thursday between 12:00 -15:00.

Earlier this month it was announced that veteran 5FM jock Sasha Martinengo was also leaving the station.
