Charlene to visit Desmond Tutu

Cape Town – Princess Charlene of Monaco will be visiting Cape Town on Friday, where she will meet Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu.

Prince Albert II of Monaco and his new bride will fly from Durban, where the prince is scheduled to attend a meeting with the International Olympic Committee, of which he is a member.

The committee must decide where the 2018 Winter Olympics will be held.

Princess Charlene will become involved in charity work immediately, visiting no less than three projects on Friday – one in Cape Town and two in Somerset West.

The Giving Organisation Trust confirmed on Monday that Charlene will be arriving in Cape Town on Friday morning. In the afternoon, she will fly back to Durban, and on Saturday she will visit yet another project in Johannesburg.

Rumours

While rumours are still abound regarding Albert’s paternity tests and Charlene’s reported escape attempts, there are also sources that confirmed that Charlene was not upset in any way before her wedding day.

Vogue published an article and pictures of a beautifully made up Charlene hours before Friday’s civil ceremony which joined her and Prince Albert in matrimony.

In the article Charlene describes the rumours as blatant lies, and laments the fact that they have sprung up at such a bad time.

Meanwhile, Rowan Sewchurran reports that staff at the luxurious Oyster Box Hotel at Umlanga rocks in KwaZulu-Natal are scrambling to prepare for Thursday’s exquisite affair. The couple will host a wedding reception for 450 friends and important guests at the hotel.
