Darren Scott faces racism complaint

Johannesburg - Jacaranda 94.2 breakfast show host Darren Scott has been accused of making racist remarks towards a colleague, according to a report on Wednesday.

The radio station's spokesperson, Jenny Griesel, confirmed to Beeld newspaper that a case of misconduct was being investigated against him.

"Jacaranda 94.2 is aware of the fact that a complaint has been laid against him," said Griesel.

Scott was not broadcasting this week, but this was merely to give him an opportunity to prepare for the Rugby World Cup, said Griesel.

"He is not off the air because he was suspended," she said.

Beeld said two independent witnesses told the newspaper that he swore and shouted at a colleague and made racist remarks at the Mabula lodge in Bela-Bela on Friday evening during a team building event.
