Johannesburg - The singer Jurie Els is in South Africa to release his new book and album.
Johnny le Roux marketing manager of Naledi publishers said that this is the only reason why the singer is visiting South Africa.
Els and his family currently reside in New Zealand.
The book, Ver van vrede, is already available in shops.
His new album is titled Voorbegin…Vat-Vat 5.
"Els is very excited about the book and CD and wants to kick of his visit to South Africa on a positive note. There is so much to be thankful and positive about and he is eager to see his fans again," said Le Roux.
He will be performing in Pretoria and Sasolburg amongst other places.
Legal battles
In February Els lay a claim of R5,5m against Media24 and Esmaré Weideman, former chief editor of the magazines, Huisgenoot, You and Drum.
Weideman is currently CEO of Media24.
The claim stems from reports of alleged sexual misconduct Els committed with singer Robbie Klay when Klay was still a minor.
Else has since been acquitted of all charges by the high court in Pretoria.
