Cape Town – Prolific political analyst and columnist Eusebius McKaiser has rejoined Talk Radio 702/567 Cape Talk.

McKaiser will be taking over Kay Sexwale's show Talk at Nine from Monday, according to the station.

Talk Radio 702 station manager Pheladi Gwangwa was elated by their latest addition to the team.

"It is a pleasure to welcome Eusebius back to the Primedia Broadcasting family. We are confident that he will put his signature flair for debate to good use and bring new dimension to Talk at Nine. He brings with him all the ingredients that contribute to the success of the show," she said.

'Unparalleled opportunity'

McKaiser, the 2011 World Masters Debating champion and regular New York Times contributor, is making a return to the station after having previously hosted a weekly show.

McKaiser said that he was looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead.

"I'm very excited to be joining the Primedia family, a brand rightly synonymous with media excellence. This is an unparalleled opportunity to both grow professionally and also add to Talk Radio 702's already excellent line-up."

Talk at Nine airs every Monday to Friday at 21:00 until midnight and takes a look at current and thought provoking matters of national and international importance.

"Insight and credibility are critical in driving the Talk at Nine show, Eusebius has the credentials to fill this massive seat and provide our listeners with a space to have in-depth discussions on issues of the day. Listeners are undoubtedly in for a treat," Gwangwa added.
