Cape Town - FHM has expressed shock and sadness at the passing of Reeva Steenkamp.
The 29-year-old model was shot and killed on Thursday morning when her boyfriend, Oscar Pistorius, reportedly mistook her for an intruder in his home.
The men's magazine posted a note on their official website on Thursday, mourning the passing of the popular, "warm-hearted" model.
The post read: "FHM was shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic passing of FHM cover girl Reeva Steenkamp.
"Our thoughts go out to her family and friends during this difficult and painful time.
FHM knew Reeva as a beautiful, intelligent and warm-hearted woman who was a joy to work with and everyone at FHM mourns her untimely passing.
"May she Rest In Peace."
A murder case has been opened by police in Pretoria.
Pistorius is in police custody and set to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.
