Fashion for charity to hit Cape Town

Cape Town - The third annual Red Carpet Fashion Show, showcasing the talent of local designers, is taking place in Cape Town on Friday, and all proceeds will be donated to charity.

The Red Carpet Fashion Show, in its third year of production, will showcase some of South Africa's most celebrated designers such as Malcolm Kluk, CGDT, Craig Port, Stefania Morland, Beachcult and Jagadi Haute Couture.

Last year, all the money raised during the fashion show was donated to the Animal Rescue Organisation and in 2012 all proceeds will be donated to joinFITE (Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship) - a global women's empowerment organisation, founded by international skincare brand, Dermalogica.

"Our goal is to host a fun and fabulous affair where guests can enjoy a glamorous fashion focused evening whilst giving something back to charity. My vision for the annual Red Carpet Fashion Show is to combine luxury with a charitable cause," said Red Carpet Concepts Founder and MD, Jade Allen.

With 12 years experience in the local and international fashion and modelling arena, Allen promises that "this year is set to raise the bar to a whole new level… we intend to put on a show like no other!"

SA online fashion superstore, Zando, will also be exhibiting a sneak preview of their range of ladies and men's shoes and internationally acclaimed cellist Carol Thorns will be performing live.

Tickets are available from Webtickets.
