Cape Town – Proteas Test cricket captain Graeme Smith and his wife Morgan Deane have welcomed a healthy baby girl on Wednesday.
Graeme and his Irish pop star wife have named their daughter Cadence Christine Smith.
Graeme returned home from the Proteas tour of the UK to witness the birth of his first child and will rejoin the squad in England before the start of the second cricket Test on 2 August.
Smith tweeted the following on Wednesday:

Smith returned to South Africa on Monday to be his wife for the birth of their daughter.
Morgan and Graeme were married in August last year in an intimate ceremony in Newlands, Cape Town.
