Cape Town – Part of James Bond's new print adventure takes place in Cape Town, publishers Hodder & Staughton revealed.
New details about the plot for James Bond's latest print adventure, Carte Blanche, were revealed at the launch of the book in London.
Reports said that "...our suave super-spy finds himself in none other than Cape Town, South Africa.
"With the help of a feisty police inspector in the SAPS, he races across the Peninsula to unravel a deadly terrorist plot. But he wouldn’t be Bond if he didn’t take the time to stay in a luxurious hotel such as the Cape Grace, drink Zulu beer and the finest wines Franschhoek and surrounds has to offer, eat bobotie and listen to singer Thandiswa Mazwai in the Bo-Kaap.

"The Mother City features in more than half of the book and next time you walk through the streets of Cape Town, you may just look at it through different eyes."
Carte Blanche is the work of American thriller writer Jeffery Deaver and was unveiled at St Pancras International station, the departure point for cross-Channel rail services in central London, on Thursday.
The plot of the novel was to remain a secret until midnight Thursday, but it had been revealed that Deaver's 007 served in the Royal Navy Reserve, including a tour of service in Afghanistan, before joining the secret service.
Lucy Fleming, the niece of the late Bond creator Ian Fleming, was at the launch and said: "If he had been here today, he would have loved the occasion."
She said the new book "has got one of the nastiest villains I've ever read".
