Lee-Ann Liebenberg's husband hijacked

2011-11-02 13:04
Cape Town - South African model Lee-Ann Liebenberg has tweeted that her husband Nicky van der Walt has been hijacked.

She tweeted that her husband was hijacked in the driveway of their home in Johannesburg.

"Hijacked and held up in our driveway. Unharmed thank GOD," she wrote on her profile.

She later shared details of her husband's car - a Black Range [Rover], licence plate WVK 509 GP - and asked her followers to retweet.

A traffic alert has also been sent out via Twitter for anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicle to call the police on 10111.

Lee-Ann and Nicky, a businessman and former polo player, have been married since March and have a daughter, Gia, who recently turned one.

Geeezz...They all the same. I hear that Danny K gets someone(his Mother most likely-as she tells him when to eat, sleep and Sh*t)to take images of him doing charitable things and somehow the images get to the magazines, like Heat and You to name a few to keep their "unsung" or "talentless" talents in the press. I think it has rubbed off on Lee-ann.

  • Silvana - 2011-11-02 13:53

Why didn't the news report that Nicky van der walt was hijacked? This is "news" because it's Lee-Ann Liebenberg's husband?

  • David - 2011-11-02 13:54

Trying to figure out who's Lee-Ann and who's Nicky in the photo...I could have sworn they used the word 'husband' in the article.

  • Samantha - 2011-11-02 14:52

it's South Africa, it happens everyday to many innocent individuals, would be nice if the amount of attention given to this was also given to all the other victims of hijackings,

  • Jaco - 2011-11-02 15:03

They got married in March and their kid is a year old already....shot gun wedding?

      Jo - 2011-11-02 15:09

That last paragraph surely wasn't necessary, was it?

  • jc.smit - 2011-11-02 15:37

You guys forget this is Channel24, with the tag: Entertainment now. Not News24, she and there for her husband is part of South Africa's entertainment industry. Besides the comments the article received is entertainment enough.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Leighanne and family. I'm glad your kids papa is uninjured. Ignore the boneheads commenting elsewhere. The Jerks have learned to write. But that doesnt make them worth reading.

So? My dad was also hijacked but saved 2 peoples lives in the process. He was not in the news. The hijackers were eventually caught. I did not make the headlines when my car was stolen.
