Lolly music video on TV

Johannesburg - A music video for a song about Lolly Jackson was filmed inside the garage at his home this week.

"We were all sad because we realised we were walking on holy ground," said Du Preez Strauss, the writer and singer of the song.

Initially entitled Lolly Jackson, the song later became known as The Lolly Jackson Song.

Strauss, who also appeared in the new movie What's Going on in Natie's Garage? recorded it as the theme song for the movie.

The song was played on several radio stations this week, including Jacaranda 94.2, 5FM and Yfm.

People love it

"People love it. Even Demi [Jackson's widow] loves it."

According to Strauss, Demi gave the project her blessing and also gave permission for scenes to be filmed in one of the Teazers branches on Wednesday.

Several exotic dancers appeared in the music video.

Strauss played a "young guy pretending to be Jackson" in the music video.

The song's lyrics included: "Lolly Lolly Jackson is wat elke man wil wees. Lolly regeer sy empire met goue ringe aan sy ysterhand. (Lolly Lolly Jackson is what every man wants to be. Lolly rules his empire with golden rings on his iron fist).”

Jackson portrayed himself in What's Going on in Natie's Garage?, which is aimed at the Afrikaans market.

In the movie, Jackson bought a pornographic film made by Natie for R100 000. The movie will be released later this year.

The music video will be launched on Friday night on kykNET on the programme Tonge los.
