Cape Town – A new musical comedy directed by musical theatre veteran David Kramer will be on stage at the Baxter theatre during the festive season.
Some Like It Vrot written by Kramer sees Marc Lottering and Christo Davids as Smiley and his friend Fuad. Lottering wrote the well known characters for his one-man shows.
Other characters that feature in the show include detective Mercia Meintjies (Larissa Hughes), a night club singer called Tammy (Jill Middelkop) and the infamous thug, Big Bucks (Abduragman Adams). Kramer has directed three of Lottering's previous projects including From the Cape Flats with Love, Hallelujah and Big Stakes & Slap Chips. He also directed Three Wise Men as well as its follow-up, Three Wiser Men, which starred Marc Lottering, Riad Moosa and Nik Rabinowitz.
Some Like it Vrot is set in Cape Town and moves between the Cape locations of Wynberg, Woodstock, Grassy Park and the Waterfront.
