Johannesburg – 5FM has announced its new line-up.
The countrywide radio station opted for stability when rethinking their line-up this year.
5FM station manager Aisha Mohamed said: "5FM has an established line-up with experienced personalities. This line-up sees some of our younger talent being offered bigger opportunities, which is in line with our growth and development plans for the future."
Staying put
Gareth Cliff on 5FM Mornings, The Sasha Martinengo Show, The Grant and Anele Show, The Fresh Drive and The Rob Vember Show remain their current slots.
The station’s Power Nites shows (22:00 to 00:00, Mondays to Thursdays) remain unchanged, with the exception of the Power Nite of Pop on Tuesdays, which will see Poppy Ntshongwana replace Bongi Mbelu.
New talent
New talent includes Thato Moeng who joins the station as its first female sports presenter. She can be heard on The 5FM Weekend Breakfast with Thomas on Saturdays.
Angela Guastella and Jola Slomkowski have also joined the ranks as part of the weekend line-up.
Poppy Ntshongwana also hosts a new show from 10:00 to 14:00 on Sundays which focuses on new trends, lifestyle topics and new music submissions to enter 5FM’s playlist for the week ahead.
