Power FM news head suspended for alleged misconduct

Johannesburg - Power FM head of news Benedicta Dube has been suspended, allegedly for misconduct, the Sowetan reported on Tuesday.

According to the newspaper, Dube had not been at work for the past two weeks.

The station's marketing head Msizi Mazibuko confirmed the suspension.

"This matter is being addressed through internal processes," Mazibuko was quoted as saying.

Dube, who previously headed the news division of Classic FM and held senior positions at the Financial Mail, Africa Magazine, and e.tv, refused to speak to the Sowetan about the matter.

The Gauteng talk station launched in June.
