Cape Town - DNA tests confirmed that singer Robbie Klay, 24, is indeed the father of a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Pretoria's baby boy.
When the results of the tests became known on Thursday, there was no one more pleased and proud than Robbie himself.
"There is no baby more beautiful than Calib. I'm very proud and happy to be his father.
"On four months he is already a strong baby and very close to my heart.
"We will have lots of fun as father and son. His mom and I are very good friends, and not a couple."
No hard feelings
Klay is already the father of an eight-year-old daughter who was born when Klay was 16 years old.
Klay never denied that he had been intimate with Calib's mom. He also never denied that he is the father, but wanted the DNA tests done "to be 100% sure".
He sees Calib "as often as my busy schedule" allows. "His mom and I sometimes go to the shops together to buy him stuff. I accept full responsibility for him and will care for him until he can care for himself."
Calib's mother and her parents still do not want to reveal her identity. They believe it can disadvantage her, because she is still young. The girl in question fell pregnant at the age of 15.
Her father however said in a previous interview that they were proud of Klay and have no hard feelings toward him.
