This comes after news broke that Gordimer passed away at her home in Johannesburg on Sunday.
According to a statement released by Gordimer’s family "she died peacefully in her sleep at home in Johannesburg, on Sunday 13 July".
Gordimer, 90, was published in 40 languages and was the recipient of the 1991 Nobel Prize in Literature.
At only 15 years old, her first work was published.
