Usher spends R50k at V&A Waterfront

2012-03-08 12:27
Cape Town – RnB superstar Usher was spotted indulging in some retail therapy at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town on Wednesday, reports 2oceansvibe.

The star, who is visiting South Africa to headline the Hansa Festival of Legends in Johannesburg, reportedly spent R50 000 at the Puma shop.

Shopper Roger Sterling said: "He came in and must have spent about fifty thousand rand on shoes."

Fans were going crazy, snapping pictures and surrounding Usher, who was protected by his entourage of bodyguards.

A bystander, Dawn Tinsley, told 2oceansvibe: "Oh my God it was absolute chaos – I tried to get him to sign my cap but I couldn't get close enough."

Not so much if you earn what he earns in dollars.

      Willie - 2012-03-08 13:35

He's on the same level as Juliaaaas! R50k on shoes....eish one small tender for the Ratanang Trust!

      Frank - 2012-03-08 13:53

Gosh, South Africans are so "niks gewoont". If you see a celebrity, stop and stare if you want, then bugger off and leave them the hell alone. Taking a photo on your crappy cellphone which is of poor quality is pretty dumb when you can google Usher and see hundreds of quality photos of him. It's great publicity for the country having top international people here walking around, but if we all make it impossible for them to set a foot outside then why the hell would they want to come? When MJ was here was basically a prisoner in his hotel suite, it makes no sense.

      Bubba - 2012-03-09 08:42

He probably spend R5k. If I'd run up to someone and said, OMG, he just spend like a billion rand on shoes! Would that be your headline news24? "Usher spends R1billion at V&A"

      jonathancfarrell - 2012-03-09 10:54
