We had a quickie with Deep Fried Man and we couldn't stop giggling!

Cape Town - It’s party time. Birthday party time, to be specific. The Annual South African Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards turns five this year and on 15 August 2015 they will be rolling out an even longer yellow carpet at the Teatro at Montecasino to celebrate.

Themed around a big "5th Birthday Bash", the Savanna CCA’s is marking this incredible milestone as the country’s longest-running comedy awards show by throwing the funniest birthday party this year.

Not one to miss out on a party we simply had to get in on the gig.

To kick off the celebrations we had a quickie with Deep Fried Man!

(FYI: A Channel24 quickie is a brief or spontaneous episode consisting of a few frisky questions in which celebs and Channel24 have a brief frolic leaving all parties involved feeling satisfied and craving a cigarette.)

Name two items we’ll find on your bedside table right now!

There is a pen, which I would like to name Penny, because Penny the pen is just a cute name for a pen. There is a lamp, which I would like to name Stewart (it just looks like a Stewart).

What’s the best birthday gift you have ever received?

It would be a toss-up between the gift of life, which I received on my 0th birthday, and some socks that I received in my early twenties at a time that I really needed socks.

Top or bottom? (When sleeping on a bunk bed)

I’m glad you specified about the bunk bed. I thought this was a BDSM thing. The 8 year old me would go for the top bunk.  The current day me would wonder what possible situation could lead to me having to sleep in a bunk bed at age 34.

Your favourite body part of your biggest celebrity crush?

I would definitely have to say Anele Mdoda’s left elbow.

Name the 5 people you will always thank in an acceptance speech.

1. Joseph Bramah. The inventor of the flushing toilet. (He never gets the recognition he deserves.)
2. Oliver Tambo. (Because thanking Madiba would be too obvious.)
3. The most high Jah Rastafari.
4. “Weird Al” Yankovic.
5. My mom. Obvs.
