The 52-year-old prince hailed his future wife's "great sense of humour and insatiable curiosity" in an interview with Le Figaro newspaper, some of his first public comments about her since they announced their engagement in June.
"Charlene has a very strong personality and I have no doubt of her desire to get involved in things alongside me," he said when asked how she would share duties with his sisters Caroline and Stephanie, who are also involved in humanitarian work.
"She is already committed to humanitarian causes such as the Born Free Foundation, the Special Olympics and the Nelson Mandela Foundation, and wants to intensify her involvement in many other areas," he said.
Royal-watchers had billed the Monaco wedding as the social event of 2011, but Albert's comments were published two days after Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton announced they would also marry next year.
Charlene and Albert - son of the late Hollywood star Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III - will have an open-air wedding in front of his palace on July 2, with a religious ceremony the next day.
Prince William and Middleton have not yet fixed a date for their wedding.
Rainier's 1967 wedding to Kelly was billed the "wedding of the century", a marriage between the glamour of the European aristocracy and the showbiz glitz of Hollywood.
