Zola 'sets dogs on journalist'

Johannesburg - Gauteng police confirmed on Monday that they were looking for a Johannesburg actor and recording artist in connection with an alleged  dog attack on a journalist.

"By late last night he wasn't arrested as yet," said spokesperson Colonel Tshisikhawe Ndou.

According to the Daily Sun, journalist Ngwako Malatji was writing an article on Zola Dlamini and was invited to Dlamini's house in Melville, Johannesburg.

At the house, Dlamini would not let in the accompanying photographer, who waited outside the gate while Malatji went inside. He claimed two dogs were set on him, the Daily Sun reported.

Malatji was also allegedly struck with a chair.

Ndou said the reporter laid a charge of assault with grievous bodily harm.

When police went to the house, Dlamini was not home.

Dlamini is known for playing "Papa Action" in Yizo Yizo 2, presenting on the television show Zola 7 and for his kwaito music.
