She took a brief break from the limelight after giving birth to twins, Sir and Rumi, in June – but Queen Bey is revving up her Instagram presence once more.

Beyoncé took to the photo-sharing site to share a snap of one of her latest fabulous looks, a striking printed blouse paired with some hot pink pants – but her eagle-eyed followers spotted something else…

Much to the Beyhive’s horror, Beyoncé appears to have had her wedding tattoo, the twin of her husband Jay-z’s, altered.

The couple got the matching IV tattoo, signifying the number four in Roman numerals, after their wedding on 4 April 2008, the fourth day of the fourth month.

The number is significant for Bey and Jay – the Formation singer was born on 4 September, and her rapper husband on 4 December. Their albums also feature the number, with Beyoncé’s fourth album titled 4, and Jay-Z’s latest offering called 4.44.

So does this mean there is more trouble in paradise for the power couple? Well according to an E! News insider, not at all.

The two are in the “best place they have ever been in their marriage”, the source said, with friends adding they have never seen the two more connected.

So why the change to the mom of three’s ink? According to The Sun, the Drunk in Love hitmaker simply changed it because it had been fading.

Fans spotted the fade when the couple went to watch a basketball game together in May 2014. This was also around the time a video leaked of Beyoncé’s sister Solange attacking Jay-Z in an elevator.

The new ink looks like a combination of the old IV numerals and a letter J from the side. The Daily Mail reports the newer version is “standard hindu-arabic number 4”.

Well, there you have it! No need to panic, Carter fans.
