Cape Town - What would you do if you found out someone connected to the love of your life may have beheaded a member of your family?

Well, Meghan Markle (36) may be facing this rather bizarre dilemma, after it emerged that Prince Harry’s (33) royal predecessor, King Henry VIII, ordered for her ancestor to be beheaded for treason, according to a report by The Telegraph.

After delving into the Suits actress’ family tree, the publication discovered that a man named Lord Hussey, 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford, was involved in an attempt to overthrow the notorious King Henry VIII.

So, as the 16th century British monarch was wont to do, he had Lord Hussey beheaded and stripped of his wealth and land after the plan was revealed.

Lord Hussey was the great-great-great grandfather of Captain Christopher Hussey, who journeyed to ‘The New World’ in America in the mid-1600s. Ten generations later, Thomas Markle (Meghan’s father), was born into the Hussey family tree.

You see where this is going, right?

Basically, Prince Harry’s Tudor predecessor had Meghan’s killed – so, does this make the couple star-crossed lovers now? Well, not exactly.

According to Metro, the 36-year-old actress has met the Queen multiple times now and Prince Charles even described her as “a very nice girl and very pleasant”.

Meghan is also reportedly leaving the hit US legal drama, Suits, as rumours of a royal engagement have begun to swirl.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail, Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jr (51) appeared to be getting antsy about the whole affair. The 51-year-old had a clear message for Meghan’s boyfriend of over a year now: “Get on and propose to my sister.”
