WE FIRST got to know her when she collaborated with Kwesta for their hit single,Ngiyaz’fela Ngawe. Now Bathabise“Thabsie” Biyela(25)is making a name for herself as the new kid on the music block.The Cape Town-born artist,who left a stable job in banking to pursue music, released her first single Cry recently. DRUM caught up with her to play a game of truths and lies to get to know her better.

1) “My nickname growing up was Matah.My mom gave it to me and I never asked why so I don’t really know why she gave it to me.”
