In life and death

I really wanted to write a happy and cheerful newsletter this week, maybe share a few funny moments or silly anecdotes. But that is just not possible.

Nobody can ignore the harsh reality that left us all speechless early Sunday morning.

The death of Glee star Cory Monteith was both unexpected and absolutely shocking. He was a young man in his prime and his sudden death at such a young age is what makes the news even more unbearable.

Rumours are abound that Monteith’s death was drug related, but Vancouver police Sgt. Randy Fincham said there's nothing to indicate the death was due to illicit drug use.

To speculate at this moment in time would be dangerous. As the world awaits the toxicology test results we can only imagine what Monteith’s friends and family must be going through.

In other news.

We are still eagerly awaiting the birth of the royal baby.

We’ve been on standby for days now and didn’t even dare move too far away from the office during the weekend just in case Kate is rushed to hospital.

But alas no word on when the new prince or princess will make their appearance. The new arrival will be directly in line to inherit the British throne after William, who is second-in-line after his father Prince Charles.

But don’t fear, we’ll make sure our readers are the first to know as soon as the news breaks.

Until next week,
Herman.
