The Royal Hangover

We’re back at work and the Royal Wedding as well as our mini-holiday is over. If you think the come-down has been hard for all of us, think how ‘Princess’ Kate is feeling. After months of planning and excitement, it's all over in a flash. William is back at work as a search-and-rescue pilot in Wales and she has been demoted to ‘housewife’.

Although it was initially postponed, at least she has her honeymoon at a luxury resort on an exotic island to look forward to.

Rumour has it that they had no choice but to postpone because they were informed of the US government’s mission to capture Osama bin Laden. It might not be safe for them to travel at such a sensitive time.

Some amusing stories have surfaced since the wedding; Harry all of a sudden wants Chelsy back. Do you think something happened at the after-party?

Apparently, Chelsy helped Harry to write his wedding speech because she had a better memory of what happened on their nights out with William and Kate.

Harry was also so scared that he would lose the ring that he had a secret pocket sewn into the inside of his jacket to keep it safe.

One of our most popular stories was about three-year old Grace, one of Kate’s flower girls, who was one unhappy camper. Photos show her on the balcony with the kissing couple, covering her ears with a worried look on her face. The noise and excitement was just too much for her as it was for a lot of men I know.

The wedding might be over, but there’s a chance that Royal Madness will return to South Africa next year, when the royal couple go on a world tour. Africa is one of the destinations on their itinerary and if we’re lucky, they might stop over in Cape Town. After all, it was on their list of possible honeymoon destinations.

And we will do it all again in July when SA's Charlene Wittstock gets married to her prince.

'Till next week,

Local is very lekker!
