Cape Town - Black Coffee and Metro FM are blocking off iconic venue, Mary Fitzgerald Square for one day of non-stop entertainment. Black Coffee's meteoric rise and has taken him to nearly every corner of the world at acclaimed events like: Sonar(Barcelona), Circoloco(Ibiza),Soundgarden(Italy) and NEST(Canada).

However, he has always stayed true to his African roots, commenting after winning 'Breakthrough Artist of the Year' at the 2015 DJ Awards, "I'm so honoured right now and so proud to be South African!!!#‎blessed."

Now, with his unequaled Afro-politan musicality, he wants to bring his electrifying set back to the streets, with his very own block party. Black Coffee has curated a line-up of SA's best urban acts to create an unforgettable event, set in the heart of Jozi.

After sharing the decks with the likes of Jazzy Jeff, Frankie Knuckles, Paul Van Dyk, and Fat Boy Slim, "The Big Dawg" himself, DJ Fresh was an obvious choice for this line-up. Undeniably one of South Africa’s favourite personalities, with over 30 releases under his belt and a local titan of music, DJ Fresh will charm the audience with his original mixing skills that transformed the local house music scene.

Ranked "The Hottest MC in Africa", winner of Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Video at the SA Hip Hop awards, Cassper Nyovest will create the heat with his can't-get-out-of-your-head rhymes. Blowing up the airwaves and club scene with tracks like Doc Shebeleza and Phumkin, Cassper Nyovest knows to command a stage and take the crowd along for one hell of a ride with his never ending energy and flow.
