Cape Town - Big Concerts announced on Wednesday that an extra Cape Town date has been added for James Blunt’s Moon Landing tour.

The extra performance will be taking place on Wednesday 11 February 2015 at the Grand Arena, GrandWest.

Tickets for the additional Cape Town date are on sale now.

Blunt’s first album, Back to Bedlam, catapulted him to worldwide superstardom on the strength of massive songs such as You’re Beautiful, High and Goodbye My Lover. Add on two more albums, three world tours, four number one singles, five Grammy nods (plus two BRIT awards, two Ivor Novellos and a host of MTV awards), a six piece band and seven whole years on the road, James Blunt has proven his musical success is here to stay.

Moon Landing is the fourth album by James Blunt. The album is the follow up to 2010’s Some Kind of Trouble and is Blunt’s first new material in three years. Blunt commented: "It's about getting back to basics and rediscovering the power of music to communicate emotion directly and honestly, without too much polish or complication." The result is a collection of songs that are raw, direct and emotionally honest. The album features production from the likes of Steve Mac, Guy Chambers and Steve Robson and was executively produced by Tom Rothrock, who worked with Blunt on 2005’s Back to Bedlam. His first single Bonfire Heart reached the Top 10 on national South African charts and his latest single When I Find Love Again is climbing the international and local charts proving to be another big hit.
