Cape Town – Long Street in the centre of Cape Town was transformed into a movie set on Tuesday night for Sean Penn’s latest film, The Last Face.
The cast and crew occupied a large section of the popular street to film some final scenes for the much anticipated film which will focus on the life of a relief worker (played by Charlize Theron) who undertakes humanitarian operations in Africa amidst violent political conflicts.
Javier Bardem also stars in the movie as a charismatic medic who must choose between romance with Charlize’s character and his lifelong work.
The film has been in production in South Africa since early August and moved location in September to Upington in the Northen Cape were some scenes were shot.
The whole team is back in the Mother City now to complete filming.
