SPOTTED: Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip catch a train to Sandringham House

Cape Town – Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are settling in for the Christmas weekend.

The royal couple took the train from London's King's Cross Station to Norfolk's King's Lynn Station on Thursday morning. They will be spending Christmas at Sandringham House, where Meghan Markle is expected to join the rest of the family for the festive celebration.

Queen Elizabeth stepped off the train wearing a bright purple coat black gloves and a pink headscarf.

Prince Philip followed wearing his usual attire – a suit, carrying his latest read, Michelangelo: The Complete Paintings, Sculptures and Architecture.
