Cape Town - The Plastics are a psych pop band from Cape Town, South Africa. The band have released two EPs and three albums: The Plastics EP 2008, Kiss The Plastics EP 2009, Shark 2010, Pyramid 2012 and In Threes 2015.

The Plastics have been nominated for numerous awards (2 SAMA’s and 5 Mk Awards), had three successive Top 10 national radio hits, topped numerous campus radio charts with another 7 singles, released 10 music videos, played at every major festival and extensively toured South Africa.

Throughout the years, the band has gained a cult-like following and has opened for numerous international acts since their inception in 2008.
