London - Prince Charles' wife Camilla said onWednesday
she watched her stepson Prince William's wedding again on the television to
catch up on the bits she missed.
The Duchess of Cornwall, who was visiting
the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield, northern England, told one patient
that the wedding was "fantastic".
"I had to go and watch it back on TV
later to see what I'd missed," she said.
Camilla had a front-row seat in Westminster
Abbey on Friday and her granddaughter Eliza Lopes was one of the bridesmaids.
Charles picked up the three-year-old on the Buckingham Palace balcony so she
could see the crowds.
"It was a bit of a worry whether she
was going to get up the aisle or not, but thank goodness she made it," the
duchess said.
Environmentally-aware
William took his new bride Catherine for a
spin in an Aston Martin car after the wedding, in a light-hearted moment that
suprised the crowds outside Buckingham Palace.
The convertible Volante DB6 MKII in
Seychelles blue belongs to Charles, who has owned it since 1969.
The environmentally-aware heir to the
throne had it converted in 2008 to run on E85 bio-ethanol, made from English
wine wastage.
Asked if Charles was giving it to William,
Camilla replied: "No. He's got the car back now. He won't let go of
that."
Charles is on a two-day official trip to
Washington, where he was due to meet President Barack Obama at the White House.
