BBC Comedy Festival Lineup

The BBC Entertainment Comedy Festival season of programming will tickle your funny bone with a selection of the best established and up and coming acts from the UK and international circuits.

Local funnyman Chris Forrest has been named the official host of the festival. You'll know Chris from local comedy shows and television ads – most recently the Mzansi Meal advert from Nando's.

Here is the complete lineup.

Dates:     19 April to 14 May
Each show will be broadcast from 9:30pm to 10:30pm, Monday to Saturday


Week 1 - Monday 19 April to Sunday 24 April

Mon - Michael McIntyre Live and Laughing
Live and Laughing is the mesmerising first show of Michael McIntyre's run at the legendary Hammersmith Apollo.

Tue - Lee Evans XL Tour
Marking the comedian's sensational return to stand-up, this show boasts some of the strongest and most hilarious routines Lee has ever written.

Wed - Jack Dee Live And Uncut
This show captures all the excitement and magic of the outrageously funny final night of Jack Dee's Live and Uncut tour.

Thur - Jo Brand - Barely Live
Jo hits London's West End with a no-holds-barred gig at the world famous Adelphi Theatre, showcasing her trademark sarcasm, candour and biting wit.

Fri - Live At The Apollo: Series 4, Episode 1
Michael McIntyre introduces Rich Hall and Rhod Gilbert at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Sat - Michael McIntyre Live And Laughing
Live and Laughing is the mesmerising first show of Michael McIntyre's run at the legendary Hammersmith Apollo.

Week 2 - Monday 26 April to Saturday 1 May

Mon - Lee Evans Big Tour
Recorded at the world famous London O2 Arena in front of over 16,000 fans, this was the highlight of Lee Evans' record-breaking 2008 UK tour.

Tue - Dara O'Briain - Live From The Theatre Royal
The final date from stand-up comedian Dara O'Briain's sell-out 100 date tour of the UK and Ireland, recorded at London's Theatre Royal.

Wed - Jack Dee Live Again
As well as performing his own stand-up, Jack attracts notable guest stars to London's Hammersmith Apollo theatre.

Thur - Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow: Series 1, Episode 1
Michael McIntyre travels the UK to bring viewers the best in new and established comedy talent.

Fri - Live At The Apollo: Series 4, Episode 2
Al Murray introduces Shappi Khorsandi and Russell Kane at the Hammersmith Apollo.
