Idols judges save Sindi

2010-10-06 08:26
Sindi ended up with the least amount of viewer votes this week after performing Cindi Lauper's I Drove All Night and Whitney Houston's I Learned From The Best at Sunday night's Idols spectacular.

After the judges deliberated, Randall Abrahams announced that the panel would be using their single saving vote to keep Sindi from elimination.

After the elimination show, Sindi said her save does not put more pressure on her for next week. She said regardless of how hard a contestant works to prepare for the performance, it means nothing if they don’t get the votes.

While Sindi is safe for this week, two contestants will be eliminated next week.

The Top 6 Idols will perform in a "showstopper" themed spectacular this week and Afrikaans pop singer Kurt Darren will join the judging panel.

Idols airs Sundays on M-Net at 17h30.

Durban contestant Sindi Nene has escaped elimination as the Idols judges decided to use their one save to keep her in the competition.
