7 Retro TV shows we want back

It turns out MacGyver is saving the SABC with his Swiss army knife and a little bit of nostalgia.

This retro revival got us thinking: What other 80s and 90s TV shows would we like to see return to the small screen? Our list was endless, but here are our top 7 picks.

Beverly Hills 90210
Brandon, Brenda, Donna, David, Dylan, Kelly and Steve... Although a modern version of the show has been made, 90210, we'd love to reconnect with the bad 90s fashion, Dylan's suave look and of course, that catchy theme song.

Married... With Children
Almost all the stars of this camp comedy are holding their own in great new comedies today. Ed O'Neill has traded Al Bundy for Modern Family's Jay Pritchett; Katey Sagal is a badass babe in Sons of Anarchy and Christina Applegate is hilarious as new mom Reagan in Up All Night. Let's go back and see where they started.

Full House
Great show with great memories and great shots of the devilishly handsome John Stamos. But if we're honest, we just watched it for little Michelle Tanner's adorable one-liners. Ah, the days when the Olsen twins were actors and not bag ladies / "fashion designers".

Dallas
Soapies today just don't have the grandiose flair and drama that Dallas brought to the small screen. Plus, it would be nice to be reminded that Patrick Duffy was once a handsome young fellow.

Airwolf
The short-lived action series featured a high-tech helicopter named Airwolf. International espionage, a moody, brooding pilot and a few hilarious sidekicks made this show a winner. Bring back Airwolf!

Charlie's Angels
Forget Drew, Cameron and Lucy. Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith kicked butt in some seriously hot vintage cars every week back in the 70s! Plus, these ladies didn't need millions in plastic surgery to look good on screen like Demi Moore did in  Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

Small Wonder
An odd little show, but definitely worth a mention. Meet the Lawsons. Dad Ted, mom Joan, son Jamie and robot daughter Vicki. Vicki was built by her dad and is taken home to live with the Lawsons while Ted and Jamie try to improve on her less than perfect intelligence. Very bad production, but oh so nostalgic. We've come so far...
