The eight season of M-Net's popular reality series, Idols, kicks off on Sunday 3 June.
The first few episodes are always a favourite with audiences as we see the best - and worst - singers in SA lay their hearts on the line in front of judges Gareth Cliff, Unathi Msengana and Randall Abrahams.
This year there will be no guest judges while viewers still have the ultimate say with their voting power.
A while back we went along to the auditions at the Table Bay hotel in Cape Town and asked some of the contestants to show off their singing talent.
Listen to their voices and stories here.
Remember to catch the first episode of Idols 8 on M-Net (DStv channel 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 107) on Sunday 3 June at 17:30.
