Team Dominic all the way

I refer to the article Top 7 Idols SA: Drakensburg Choir Drowns Voices.

I am disgusted and appalled that anyone could write such an article about human beings. There is so much controversy surrounding SA Idols this year, do you really think adding fuel to the fire is going to make things better?

Lets start with Khaya. I think he really does have a beautiful voice, and you can just see how talented he is. But the problem is, if he does win, people are going to say he only won because Idols and M-Net pushed for him to win, not because he is talented. And that is just sad. He does have a very cocky attitude, like he knows he is good, and that is my biggest problem with him.

Then there's my boy Dominic. I think he is such a talented guy, and will go far with his career, with or without Idols. He has gotten so much racist and hatred messages on Facebook, posted by mostly Khaya-fans, which is so sad, because they are actually good friends. As the person posted in the previous article: "He has become a serial killer of people's songs".

To say that about any human being is just disgusting and demoralising. I have gotten to know Dominic on a personal level, and he is such a wonderful young man, and he is trying not to listen to all the nonsense going around about him. The judges say they can see he is loosing his confidence every time he sings on that Idols stage, well, wouldn't you if you were being slaughtered week after week by the judges, and day after day by fans of fellow contestants??

Now lets get to the touchy subject. We all know all the drama that unfolded before Idols Season 8 aired on TV for the first time. We all know that M-Net and Idols are looking for a black winner. As has been said on the Idols Facebook page "Lets just vote Dominic and Chloe out so we can finally have a black winner this year."

They seem to love all the drama that unfolds on their page, because most of them don't get deleted. As it states on their Terms and Condition: "No Hate Speech, No Racism and Only speak English so that everyone can understand".

To me, I don't care what skin colour the winner is, as long as the person standing at the end is the best singer from the competition. I know exactly how much my fellow Team Dominic fans have spent on voting for him to stay in the competition, so how could he possibly be in the bottom three every single week? Just doesn't make sense! And the fact that there was a financial backer handing out airtime vouchers to all Team Khaya fans, what chance does this man really stand?

For the judges to go off at Dominic like that, it's just apparent to everyone that they don't want him there, because no matter what he does, its just never good enough. Then why even put him through to the Top 18 in the first place? It seems like they just needed to fill the space, to eliminate them all so their chosen contestant can win. If they didn't have enough talented people audition this season, then they should have just cancelled Idols this year and tried again next year.

No matter what happens to Dominic Neill this season, I will always support him, and will be honoured to follow his journey further!
