Dearest Riaan,
 
It feels like you are part of the household. Like the Uncle that visited every evening.

I know my parents will be very sad that you won’t be visiting anymore, but I am sure us as well as the rest of South Africa wish you a peaceful time off and a chance to do what you could not do in the past, like take a long holiday.
 
Thank you for all the years of unfailing service and for playing a major role in my understanding of Afrikaans.
