Idols 8 kicked off at the comedic expense of many terrible singers.
While the show is all about finding the BEST singing talent in the country, sometimes it's those at the other end of the scale who are the most entertaining.
In our humble opinion, these three brave souls deserve a medal for the torture they survived during their audition with Gareth, Unathi and Randall in Johannesburg.

This isn't Sarah's first time in front of the judges. Last year she sang Beyoncé's Halo, but no one quite guessed it. This time around Gareth used an app to try and decode Sarah's singing and correctly name her song. See how it went.

Angelice sings her own genre of music called 'hearty' - songs from the heart. This gem is a self-penned song and she's written over 28 of them. Listen out for the love.

"I sound just like Elvis Blue." Gavin auditioned because of his inspiration, Elvis Blue, and he paid tribute to the former Idols winner by singing his song, The Things My Father Said.
