Cape Town – Season 4 of the Ultimate Braai Master is in full swing.
With a twist to the game and an epic braai-off, the Warriors were the first to be eliminated from the show.
Here are some interesting facts about the remaining 12 teams:
1. The Flying Boar are are well-known in the Cape Town foodie scene with their successful, gourmet burger pop-up restaurant, The Flying Boar.
2. Both contestants from Team Skoot are professional chefs at The Mount Nelson.
3. The Gee Gees are the oldest team to make it onto the show in UBM history.
4. Shisa Mfethu would use the prize money to open up a shisa nyama/car wash business.
5. Team Sparkle work on a game farm, but Ryan is a part-time bodybuilder and Helene a personal trainer.
6. John and Piet from Weskus Annas, both entered the show last season but in separate teams. (John from Weskus Annas and Piet from Santa Annas hence the name Weskus Annas). This year they joined forces for another shot at the prize.
7. Rustenburgers are the first team in UBM history to score 100% at the auditions.
8. Khathaso and Itumeleng from Double Trouble much prefer to identify as Fresh and Mr Fine Thanks.
9. Although the #YoloRoadies are care-free, adventure-seeking twenty-somethings they are both a force to be reckoned with: Rosa has her own business and Shani is an up and coming architect.
10. The Swagger Muffin ladies have been best friends for 14 years.
11. Team Eminent are the youngest team on the show this season.
12. C-Soned brothers would use the cash prize to open up their “Mobile Braai” company under their brand “C-Soned”.
