17-year-old Paxton crowned Idols SA season 13 winner!

Johannesburg – After a gruelling competition and a record breaking season with one hundred million  votes cast the winner of Idols SA season 13 has been announced. 

The grand finale took place at Carnival City where Paxton Fielies was crowned as the winner during a spectacular live show.

It was a musical feast as some of SA’s top artists such as Boom Shaka, TKZee, last season’s Idols champion Noma, Somizi and his special guest Heavy K, in-house mentor Donald, Kwesta, Dj Tira, Distruction Boyz, Tipcee, NaakMusiq and Madness.

17-year-old Paxton is the second female winner in a row after a seven season drought.

She joins previous winners Noma Khumalo Karabo Mogane, Vincent Bones, Heinz Winckler, Anke Pietrangeli, Karin Kortje, Jody Williams, Jason Hartman, Sasha-Lee Davids, Dave van Vuuren, Khaya Mthethwa and Musa Sukwene.

Along with being crowned the winner, Paxton also walked away with a prize package worth R1.5m: R1m in cash, a Ford Focus 1.5 Ecoboost, R100 000 worth of fashion vouchers from Truworhts, Shure equipment, R78 000 worth of musical equipment from Yamaha and record deal from Gallo music.

Idols SA has been renewed for a 14th season auditions will kick off in January 2018.

Pretoria - 10 February, 2018 
Johannesburg - 24 February, 2018

Bloemfontein - 3 February, 2018
Port Elizabeth - 17 February, 2018
Polokwane - 3 March, 2018
