24-hour porn channel in SA in Jan

Johan Eybers
Cape Town - A new 24-hour sex channel will be available on satellite TV from January 2012 – and there's nothing South African authorities can do to prevent it.

The channel, which offers hardcore pornography aimed at heterosexual viewers, will be broadcast on the Astra 4A satellite – the same satellite used by TopTV.

John Solomon of African Satellite Installations (ASI) has said his company will hire out the special decoders and smartcards needed to view the channel at a cost of R99 per month.

The decoders are only for hire and remain the property of the satellite company.

ASI has already ordered 5000 decoders ahead of Porn Satellite TV – or PSat - arriving in South Africa in January.

The adult entertainment channel, which originated in France, is broadcast from outside of South Africa’s jurisdiction, said Solomon, leaving the South African authorities with no say in the matter.

How it works

"PSat is totally independent of other satellite channels and you will need a special decoder, smartcard and a satellite dish to view the channel," said Solomon.

"All you have to do is unplug your TopTV decoder and replace it with the PSat decoder."

The decoders can also be looped to avoid cable issues, according to ASI's website. The site also states that PSat and TopTV are not associated.

Other free channels broadcast on the Astra 4A satellite will also be available to viewers who purchase the special decoder.

Visit ASI's website for more details.

Finally! A reason to get Satellite TV! Now hopefully they get get rid of the all the brainwashing religious channels.

      cilla.webster1 - 2011-12-05 08:25

This has nothing to do with whether or not we are christians or mother grundy's but has everything to do with how low people will go to get excitement. The fact that those of us who find this disgusting get a thumbs down is irrelevant... what is relevant is when your wives or children are raped by some porn channel crazed idiot you'll be the first to complain.

      Alisha - 2011-12-05 08:44

I agree fully. I find ALL religious programming highly offensive to my beliefs. We should be banning religious programming in the 21st century. Religious indoctrination should exclusively churches and kids should only be able to choose their religion at the age of 18.

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:15

@Mabel, as a country who has the highest rape stats in the world how do get off blaming it on porn?? Rape is not about sex. Watching porn does not suddenly make a person a rapist... Ignorant people irritate me...

      Sheik - 2011-12-05 14:35

We'll now have two totally different channels with people shouting "Oh God I'm coming."

      Stephen - 2011-12-05 17:01

      OMG...Sheik deserves a Bells!

  • Anton - 2011-12-05 07:57

What a great Christmas present idea!

      vermeulenwa - 2011-12-05 08:20

Celebrate the birth of Christ by giving someone access to Porn?...I sincerely hope you where sarcastic. P.S. I don't care if you 'thumbs down this comment' so go crazy!

      George - 2011-12-05 08:27

Why cant they replace porn with 24 / 7 religious channels, oops there's something stuck in my cheek

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:16

@vermeulenwa, actually Christ wasn't born in december...

      Sheik - 2011-12-05 14:44

Sent my Christmas wish to Santa already. Can't wait for Chrismas to look under the tree.!!!!

  • Preshen - 2011-12-05 08:00

    Once aporn a time……..

  • John - 2011-12-05 08:00

With internet the way it is today, who actually still goes and hires a decoder, and pays for something you can get free off the net..?

      sechaba.lenong - 2011-12-05 09:14

      Downloading is expensive.

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:16

Cause you save on bandwidth so you can download illegal movies and music?

      Clive.D.Buckley - 2011-12-05 12:00

Sechaba... WHy on earth don't you have uncapped internet????

      Sheik - 2011-12-05 14:47

      And how do you know?

  • Phillip - 2011-12-05 08:12

They say that there is noting that SA authorities can do to stop it. Hoe about banning the importation of the decoders? This is so sad. Yet another destructive tool to destroy good home values. There is enough out there destroying family values without this comming in. I wonder how long it will be before we see the crime that can be directly attributed to this smut. Soooooooo Sad.

      jannie.debeer - 2011-12-05 08:25

ah,get over yourself, this is a controled environment. nobody is forcing you to watch it. if you haven't seen genitals that your maker made before, and are offended by it, don't buy a decoder.

      Ed - 2011-12-05 09:00

phil...i think that there are enough evils around. fact is that porn has not been readily available on tv, yet we still have the social inequalities all around us. you cant blame porn for what is already in existence. the church and religion is however in existence, so maybe we should blame the church and organised religion for the social ills of today. oh wait...before the many conservatives out there get upset, do not forget that the ng kerk was a staunch supporter of apartheid, the broederbond and the like...

      yolie.Landa - 2011-12-05 09:04

its not like the people having sex on that tv are gonna jump out and rape your wife and kid. Grow up. I would enjoy it if dstv lauches a new channel also, maybe channel 102. So i can check there wen I feel like

      Bubba - 2011-12-05 10:24

I can't see too many people with "families" getting this product. It's probably more for the single guys who need some inspiration come wack off time. Although there are a few couples that enjoy porn together, and good for them. I do doubt that anyone with young kiddies will be getting it though. They'll stick to computer porn.

  • cilla.webster1 - 2011-12-05 08:22

This is so disgusting. We've just spent 16 days for abuse against women and children and from January all the peverts in the country can get extra lessons on how to dessimate women and children. I don't know how anyone can get an ounce of pride from watching such deviant stuff on a television channel. They must be very sick people..... really emotionally retarded.

      Phoenix - 2011-12-05 08:49

      Dessimate? Do you mean inseminate?

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:20

@Mabel, the porn industry has completely changed since the 70's (where you seem to be stuck in). The industry is completely regulated. Yes you do get the underground scene which is prevalent in any industry, but for the type of porn that is commercially available there is no exploitation, there are standards, regulations and work conditions that are applicable like any industry.. It may not be the ideal job and yes some girls are driven to that due to financial or drug reasons but it is not to say they are being abused or exploited..

      Ricardo - 2011-12-05 13:54

n im guessin u just fell from the paw paw tree? hate to burst your bubble but its because 2 people's sexual act that you r in this world.....so basically you were created from a "sick" act, people need to open their eyes and shut their mouth. there are worse things out their to worry bout then porn

  • Barefoot - 2011-12-05 08:22

the channel will increase rape? complete bull research was done absolutely no correlation between the two, looking at countries with more porn accessibility rape is surprising low. u.s.a 4 example. family values- what ur own Christian family values? how many so called Christian family members have porn stashed away somewhere, anyway porn has been easily available even to kids for years. leave the channel to create more employment.

      Ed - 2011-12-05 09:02

just look at holland...amsterdam has one of the lowest crime rates around, yet has the red-light district! irnonically the district has a lower crime rate than the rest of amsterdam. if you dont want to watch it, dont. if you do, go ahead...simple. we all have freedom of choice.

  • William - 2011-12-05 08:28

Germany + France have had mainstream porn channels for years and certainly this has had no negative affects on social norms in their countries. Lets move with the times and wake up!!! I will never subscribe to this channel but it comes down to freedom of choice!!!

  • janjac.gilbert - 2011-12-05 08:30

    Go away.

  • Ben - 2011-12-05 08:36

Why bring the church and religion into it now. If your mother taught you that to watch porn is a good thing to do, go right ahead and watch as much as you like because you should stick to what you were taught by your mother.

  • Bryan - 2011-12-05 08:38

If you dont like it.....Dont watch it, it's that simple....Case closed!!!

      Brad Frank - 2011-12-05 08:43

well in this case: of you don't like it... don't buy the decoder... even more simple :)

      Michael - 2011-12-05 13:02

@BRad - you may not buy the decoder!!!

      Michael - 2011-12-06 07:16

  • Johncarlos ? Biza - 2011-12-05 08:53

Modern porn is gross an corny, just like its core audience

      Kevin - 2011-12-05 11:21

I think some of these guys are going to see there wives naked and performing for the first time in a long time and all on screen and not with them

  • Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 08:53

Porn is far from degrading to women. Clearly you've never watched any. I think its a great idea. If you have children then don't buy it. Beside what's the difference between the internet and the decoder? Well for one thing you can actually control what your children see. Religion if its against your beliefs then that's fine but don't throw them down my throat and deny me things just because you don't agree. As for rape, again you really know nothing bet you're one of those people who believe a women was 'looking for it' if she wears provocative clothing. Rape is a power thing it has very little to do with sex.

      Phoenix - 2011-12-05 08:57

I love you already! *ticks up thumb*

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 09:06

As for the families breaking down. That has little to do with what's on tv and a lot to do with parents not informing their children and educating them correctly. My parents always explained things on tv to me. Including sex and porn, drugs etc. Stop treating ur kids like glass statues.

      Jason - 2011-12-05 09:06

      exactly...

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:22

@Kerri, a voice of reason. Thank you.. People seem to think that the porn industry is like it was in the 70's where there was exploitation and abuse. It has been completely revamped and is regulated like any other industry...

      Johncarlos ? Biza - 2011-12-05 10:04

Modern porn is bad for today's male youth. It creates unrealistic expectations in their minds and they want to live them out with women. I'm no puritan so I won't use labels like 'degrading', but I am aware of the negative implications it has on the male psyche and its approach to women. I'll give you an example-young men today think it's cool for a woman to 'swallow', thanks to porn, and some tacitly pressure young women to do so(it obviously can't be nice swallowing sperm). These kinds of social pressures(another eg is the need to make anal common, no thanks to porn) are largely one-sided, favouring men and expecting more from young women, and they are a result of pornography mainly. I can only imagine the next male generation demanding what's currently on post-modern porn from women(google images of 'ass rammed' and imagine society coercing your granddaughter into looking like that). So yeah, I'd probably have an issue with porn being widespread if I was a woman. I understand where the complaints are coming from, though the links to paedophilia seem etc ridiculous. You may not agree with me to the absolute, but I'm sure you won't deny that porn does influence human psychology, especially modern porn where people don't even kiss and spit on women's genitals for lubrication. End of indignation.

      Marion - 2011-12-05 12:08

@Kerri-Lee Barlow... if porn is meant to be fantasy why can't one's own imagination play out fantasies inside your head / within your relationship? How many people commenting here would enter into a long term relationship with a porn star, male or female? Even though I have decided that porn, soft or otherwise, is not my cup of tea, I respect the right of anyone who wants to watch it to do so, provided that their young children cannot gain access to it which is ensured by a decoder.

      Johan - 2011-12-05 13:04

@Kerri - hope you never in a situation where somebody says to you "you were looking for it"

      Ed - 2011-12-05 15:16

Shoh JohnCarlos...spitting, swallowing, spitting of genitals...how much porn do you watch? do you also think that if kids see people shooting on tv, that they are going to blwo something up. dude, you are one strange guy... (PS: they usually like swallowing because its more ladylike than spitting and because its good for the nutritional value!!!! hahahaha)

  • gillian.sanderson - 2011-12-05 08:55

Reading this just ruined my morning! Aren't their enough sickos out there already without feeding them more trash! At R100pm anyone and everyone can afford it. Really good for our already oversexed society . . . I dont think so!! :((

      Phoenix - 2011-12-05 08:58

Porn is not trash. Your comment is.

      Michael - 2011-12-05 13:09

Oversexed society? - where do you live??

  • cilla.webster1 - 2011-12-05 09:01

Why is it that people assume that because you object to pornography you are as exciting as a wet rag and that your husband has something on the side? The humans who wrote that - you are human beings aren't you? - have no idea what a fun loving, lover of life I am. I just consider the pornography (which I've seen so know what I'm talking about) to be debasing to women and children and a type of media that gives men expectations that don't exist. So sue me!!!

      Barefoot - 2011-12-05 09:03

Children? i think you should check yourself in at the nearest police station

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 09:17

I am a woman. I don't think its debasing and I don't think it gives men anything. My love and I watch together. Its a great way to come up with new idea's have a laugh and to discuss things we agree and don't agree with. I respect your beliefs and you being anti the idea. Please respect mine.

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:23

Children?? What porn have you watched??

      Phoenix - 2011-12-05 09:32

No why is porn debasing to women and not to men??? Women ALSO watch porn - in which case men are being debased. Not? Stop the violence and porn against men!!!

      Bryan - 2011-12-05 09:40

@Kerri-Lee.., My lady and I also watch from time to time for the same reasons. Nice to see an open mind for a change, big-ups to you girl:-)

      Brandon - 2011-12-05 10:40

@ Mabel - good on you. It takes a real woman to speak against evil these days. People Like @Kerri-Lee Barlow will no doubt experience the thrills of her twisted mind and when her hubby want to take it a step further by involving her friends or her siblings then she would experience the evil that goes with porn. No longer will it be thrills but jeolousy and all that goes with it. Why do adv Barbie comes to mind?

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 11:03

Lol dude you get worked up over nothing. Thank-you for your concern but again all I ask is that people respect me and my decisions they hurt no one but myself like you have pointed out. And I respect yours. You consider it evil. Awesome I have no angry towards that no one is asking you to partake.

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 11:13

@Brandon, did something like that happen to you? Tell us, we here for you.. If not, then where did you suck that rubbish out of??

      Ed - 2011-12-05 15:17

Kerry...I think that girlie-boy Wilson's wife wanted him to be in a 3-some with her other lover, Bubba, but he said no...or maybe it was with the advocate chick???

  • Cameron - 2011-12-05 09:04

my god people are dumn! as some of the ppl have said, if ya dont want it dont get it. There are far worse things going on in this graphic world than a 24hr sex channel. So to all the ppl apparently offended by this, go fly a kite, you can bitch about it all you want, it aint going away

  • braamc - 2011-12-05 09:04

Cheaper to download from internet, and then you get what you want

  • Ed - 2011-12-05 09:06

really now people. its as simple as freedom of choice. if you dont want to watch it, dont. if you do, go right ahead and do it. its in the comfort of your own home, so how are you offending anyone? how dare somebody else try and tell me what i can and cannot watch in my own house. at the same time i am sure that most of the people who are pointing a finger, will orinically enough also be upset about the information bill. think about it 'rainbownation', you cannot fight for one, yet point a finger at the other. the underlying point is freedom of expression and information. respect others and they will respect you. besides, maybe you will find a channel that you enjoy...bondage, s&m??? your choice, not mine.

  • Ed - 2011-12-05 09:07

PS: to all the relgious zealots out there...how dare any of you point a finger at something as mind-numbing as porn, when just about every war in history has been fought or started because of religion. oh yes, then there is the small matter of apartheid, where churches, specifically the ng kerk, actively supported it. get real.

  • Rohin - 2011-12-05 09:09

It amazes me that people equate porn to high rape stats; pedophilia; divorces etc. Really? Someone commented about how it debases woman. Stop generalizing. Pornography that does not involve children/animals can actually be healthy - and some people actually choose to do that as a career - and let's face it, some of the career porn stars are damm hot. Someone mentioned that a porn actor/actress can't have a normal relationships afterwards? Really. How many porn stars do you know that told you this. And what is normal anyway? Remember Annabel Chong of the greatest orgy attempt = she's now married and in a "normal" relationship. We argue and protest to demand the right to vote, the right to free speech and media freedom, so how about the right to choose if you want to indulge in pornography.

      Michael - 2011-12-05 13:17

They equate porn to the so-called high rape stats because it is them that are deprived of porn. They are the ones who go out and rape. They the ones who sin during the week and rush off to church to ask for forgiveness and oggle (undress them with their eyes) the lady in the pew in front of them. They the sicko's of society.

      gillian.sanderson - 2011-12-05 14:27

You seem to know an awful lot - must be in the industry . . .!

  • taniac.swart - 2011-12-05 09:12

If you want to go through all the effort of getting a special decoder, smart card and satellite dish to be able to watch porn 24/7, I say, go for it. It is however so much easier just to rent from the porn shops and also, it is available on internet. As far as this subject is concerned, I am neutral, each to his own. I don't get why people get personal and get into each other's character with regards to this article. If porn rocks your boat, have fun, if it doesn't, nobody is forcing you to watch. I am a rape victim, and I can assure you I was not raped because the guy watched a porn movie first.....rape happens, and I don't believe it is because of porn movies. Men are biologically put together in such a way that they constantly think about sex, so they obviously need no encouragement. Before you think about stoning me, and before you think about pulling the religion card, I want to make it very clear that I am not into porn and I am not an atheist. I am simply a person who believe that other people must do whatever they feel comfortable with as far as this subject is concerned. You can't tell people what is wrong or what is right when it comes to porn, each to his own.

      Dorothea - 2011-12-05 13:13

Heather, Out of all the comments I have read, yours is the funniest. Thank you for putting a smile on my face. I think you need to seriously reconsider your definition of a REAL MAN!!!! If your husband(s)/partners/lovers have contributed in any way to your misguided definition, then you are easily fooled. Shame, you have a lot to learn! LOL.

  • moby.quest - 2011-12-05 09:13

Why do you need a special DECODER and a special SMARTCARD for this?? Why cant this just be a standard feature for all DSTV and Top TV subscribers? Bloody money making scheme! Its less hassles to download p0rn from the net.

      darq.eve - 2011-12-05 11:41

They are using a different satellite to the DSTV guys ..

  • Brigitte - 2011-12-05 09:19

I just love the Prophetic Word of God being revealed before our very eyes. And to all the religious critics. Believers are in relationship with God through Christ, not religionship. Whatever your snide remarks, God's Word will prevail COS HE LOVES US!

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:27

Yes He loves me but I just want to be friends, it's awkward..

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 09:28

That's great, I'm glad you have such strong beliefs. Understand though that not everyone believes the same as you. There are many religions and beliefs. That's why people get anti when other bring religion into things. Its like pushing your beliefs on others.

      Johan - 2011-12-05 12:51

@kerri - grow up girl, you still a baby! @Brigitte - yes God will prevail!!!

  • Thokozane - 2011-12-05 09:26

A 24 hour porn channel in a country with a high rate of sexual offences, not a good idea.

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 09:32

Sexual offense has very little to with sex!!! For goodness sake a person does rape or assult because they're horny. Its a power thing and its prevalent in our country because of a number of factors namely poverty which causes people to feel powerless. Please go do some research!!!

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:36

@Thokozane, rape is not about sex..

      Ever - 2011-12-05 10:02

Funny how Northern Hemisphere countries such as Norway, Sweden, Holland etc, where porn has been legal for decades, are able to handle it? Strange that their rape stats are so much lower than ours? Are they so much more mature than we are? Or perhaps maybe porn is not the problem? As Kerri said, do some research. A rapist does not need porn to motivate his attack-he will rape irrespective. As many have said, rape is not about sex, but about power. There are no credible studies that have linked pornography and rape. I suspect porn provides a healthy outlet for many rather than incitement. Bottom line (no pun intended) what and adult chooses to watch in the privacy of their home is their business.

      Charles - 2011-12-05 13:03

Aibo. Rape has actually got nothing to do with sex, boet. You have the internet - use it to educate yourself please

      Dorothea - 2011-12-05 13:17

try to hide your ignorance. i see that you war a suit and tie in your photo. rather wear something else as you are misleading people into thinking that you have more intelligence.

      gillian.sanderson - 2011-12-05 14:31

@ Ever - Northern Hemisphere countries such as Norway, Sweden, Holland etc, where porn has been legal for decades are not overpopulated and poverty ridden like SA is! Wake up and smell coffee!!!

      Ever - 2011-12-05 15:09

Gillian-that was EXACTLY the point I was trying to make-or did you not get it? Let me spell it out-port is NOT the problem in this country and to suggest that a legal porn channel will increase rape stats is just nonsense. I sugget you put the kettle on yourself.

      Ever - 2011-12-05 15:10

Sorry-obviously should read porn not port....

  • Brigitte - 2011-12-05 09:26

I just love the Prophetic Word of God unfolding before our very eyes. Believers are in relationship with God through Jesus Christ, not religionship. And any remarks against what Believers stand for will be of no consequence as the Word encourages us that this too will happen to us. If we don't stand for something, we will fall for anything. God's Word will never change and no nasty comment against those opposing this sad channel will prevail because of God's love for us. DON'T BUY THE DECODER!

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 09:40

Sigh again. Standing for something is fine, pushing your beliefs onto others is not. In fact its even what the children in our country learn at school. You have the right to believe in any religion in this country (as long as it doesn't harm others) but you have a responsibility to respect the beliefs of other. Also remember there are many divisions of Christianity maybe you shouldn't speak for others. Only yourself

      Phoenix - 2011-12-05 09:56

      Whatever *rolls eyes*

      Brandon - 2011-12-05 10:50

Again good on you Bridget. As people try to force their evil thoughts and ideas down on us (everytime we open any media) so it is equally fine for us to agree in God's name so again I say AMEN. If I'm forced to read these filth them so should you (Kerri-Lee Barlow) be able to take the Word of God. Be glad that someone is giving it to you because it is clear that you don't get the Word enough.

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 11:16

@Brandon, show us how we forcing our evil thoughts and ideas down on you? Good grief, you sound "cultish"

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 11:31

@Brandon I applaud you. I am happy you have found faith and are so committed to it. Again all I ask is respect for my beliefs.

      Bryan - 2011-12-05 11:51

@Brandon_Wilson.., Dude, who is forcing evil thoughts and beliefs on you?? You are getting your knackers in a big knot over nothing! Freedom of choice bro, if you don't like porn.., don't watch it..!!!

      Morne - 2011-12-05 11:58

I don't see why jerkin' my gherkin' should be any business of yours or your god... take a hike sweetheart.

      Johan - 2011-12-05 12:54

@kerri - yes you should know what the children are learning at school cause you were there just recently. Go jump into the sack with you boyfriend and stop looking for attention.

      Dorothea - 2011-12-05 13:18

      oh birgitte! enough now.

  • Themba - 2011-12-05 09:27

Hooray! Thats what we call real freedom! All must be free and not just a select few.

  • mbotsellasie - 2011-12-05 09:37

  • ThakhaniR - 2011-12-05 09:43

Ya hei sathane tshodi nea maanda

  • rowan.maulson - 2011-12-05 09:44

The fact that we have 30%+ people thinking this is shocking and perverted dismays me intensely... So what if someone wants to watch Porn in the comfort of their own home? If you find porn shocking and perverted then don't bloody pay for the decoder. Don't impose your conservative ideals on everyone else.

      Kevin - 2011-12-05 11:22

They will be the first to have the decoders

      Marion - 2011-12-05 12:22

@rowan... what 30% is this? Do you actually know what religious group people are from when they comment here?

  • Jim - 2011-12-05 09:46

    Ooh La La

  • Jimmy - 2011-12-05 09:46

In a series of interviews with inmates of the death row in the U S A everyone there said that their downward spiral that landed them there was pornography. Any one who does not admit that this is destructive has put his or her gross carnal desires before common sense and respect for others.

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 09:50

Please give me that series. I'm dying to see it. Especially because I don't believe a word of it.

      richard.hipkin - 2011-12-05 09:51

      Hahahaha....what?? Rubbish.

      Ever - 2011-12-05 10:10

With all due respect, Jimmy-horsefeathers. If this were the case most of the male population of the world would be on death row. It's very easy to blame the consequences of your actions on porn-much easier than taking responsibility. The overwhelming majority of men and women who watch porn are normal healthy decent individuals who have a happy home and working life and are good citizens. Do you seriously believe that someone goes out and commits murder because they watch porn? "Gross carnal desires"-what century are you living in?

      Bryan - 2011-12-05 10:11

@Jimmy..., I suppose you believe that Santa claus and snow white had an affair and their offspring becamr the Easter bunny...Really dude..!!

      Morne - 2011-12-05 12:01

500 million sperms per squirt? Then I guess I'm Darth Vader or Ming the Merciless considering the fact I've wiped out planets with my left hand...

  • Hallo - 2011-12-05 09:54

Losers watch porn and only fools try to bring religion into this discussion.

      gillian.sanderson - 2011-12-05 14:34

      well said :)

      Phoenix - 2011-12-05 15:46

Yes if you are in primary school gillian. Seriously? "Losers watch porn". Grow up and debate like an adult.

  • mbotsellasie - 2011-12-05 09:59

Whoa!! At R99, I will put a decoder in my toilet, just in case....

  • Marion - 2011-12-05 10:02

If this had been on the 'free' channels I would have had a problem with it, simply because it would be too readily available to young children (24 hour broadcast) who learn from an early age already to use the remote. As it is, with someone having to subscribe to it in order to view it and it not being 'in your face' it doesn't bother me. What did bother me was eTV's airing of soft porn. Not sure if they still do it, but I don't believe that pornography should be available on 'free' channels.

      Michael - 2011-12-05 13:32

@Ibhubesi - nude pics? That all? You should see the movie clips of romping and pomping! Anal, carnal, anything you want, the kids have got it! Including the ones who rush off to church with mommy and daddy. The problem is that there are too many parents with blinkers on as to what their kiddies (as young as 12) are getting up to!!!

  • desertratbkf - 2011-12-05 10:05

Ah get a life you lot! If you dont want it, DONT BUY IT!!!!!!! Its a choice YOU make! No one is forcing you to watch it!

  • Moi - 2011-12-05 10:10

Really don't see what the big deal is. It's not a free channel. If you don't want it, don't buy it.

  • Claude - 2011-12-05 10:10

@Squeegee... Your comment... December 5, 2011 at 07:45 Thats a load of croc you idiot. PSat and TopTV are not associated. I'll repeat a brilliant comment made earlier... "If you dont like it.....Dont watch it, it's that simple"

  • Alan - 2011-12-05 10:11

Im not muslim but I still think christianity is nonsense. When I was groing up in a catholic home, the rules against pornography were so strict, I ended up masturbating to all the smut in the bible. This porn channel has to really up its game to beat that.

      Marion - 2011-12-05 10:19

@Alan... amazing how you think there are only two religions in the world and that you find it necessary to attack one of them.

      Barefoot - 2011-12-05 12:00

lol which parts of the bible did you masturbate to?

      Dorothea - 2011-12-05 13:21

why do you have to mention that you are not muslim? i fear an ignorant mind.

      Michael - 2011-12-05 13:34

You must of masterbated to that scene where Soddom gives Gamorrah one up the chute!??

      Gloria - 2011-12-05 15:17

@All of you except Marion & Dorothea. Please do not make fun of the Bible on here. I find your comments very disturbing and sick. Hope God does not make fun of you one day when you have to face him. Funny how quickly you will pray to God if you need him i.e someone is sick or when you are in trouble etc. and on this site, you will make fun of him and deny him so you can sound like one of the in crowd??

      Gloria - 2011-12-05 17:22

@Ibhubesi. I am not forcing my religion on you, you can believe what you want. All that I am asking is please do not make fun of my God and my religion on here. I respect your believes so please respect mine and don't mock the Bible or God.

      Johan - 2011-12-06 13:05

Alan, reading the comments you make is quite disturbing? You are a sicko and you need serious help! It is quite clear looking at you why you need sexual stimulation, you must be a realy lonely man. Enjoy yourself while it lasts, cause soon you will have to answer to Him!

  • Sanet - 2011-12-05 10:22

Yes and the Paedophiles are the ones that worries me the most!! Nothing is done for the child victims and mark my words this will escalate the cases that are already the highest in the world!! Ibhubesi, I am a Christian and proud of it, but maybe I also know just 'n little more than you do out of experience with the bad rotten core of our Society. Have you got children? I do not think so.

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 11:49

How can a man or woman watching two adults have sex entice them to go and molest. A child? Funny how in countries where both porn and prostitution are legal they don't have our issues. The problems in our country are scary I agree, but there causes have nothing to do with tv. Poverty, lack of education, belief in myths. I do have children. I've been on numerous sex abuse courses for my job. Sorry but porn never came up.

      Marion - 2011-12-05 12:27

@Kerri-Lee. Do you deny that there are instances where adults have shown children pornography before sexually abusing them? And I'm not talking about kids of the same age looking at porn on their cellphones etc., out of curiosity. (I consider a child to be anyone under the age of 16)

      robert.cerff - 2011-12-05 12:51

I have to agree with Kerri-Lee here (because she's a voice of reason). @Marion. Do you deny that there are instances where adults have shown children cartoons before sexually abusing them?

      Marion - 2011-12-05 13:21

@Robert.Cerff... Personally I have never heard about a child saying that an adult showed them cartoons before sexually abusing them, although you may have. (You're so funny - NOT). I have, however, heard about children saying that an adult showed them pornography before sexually abusing them.

      Marion - 2011-12-05 13:26

@Ibhubesi - I was also sexually abused as a child and it wasn't by a priest. I can understand how you feel about religion as a result. By the same token I am sure you can understand how I feel about men as a result. It, too, was a sobering experience that made me what I am today and distorted my perception of men. I am surprised that it only distorted your perception of religion and priests and not your perception of men.

      Michael - 2011-12-05 13:36

What is worse? - leaving your child with a paedophile or the local catholic priest? Just en passant!

  • Tina - 2011-12-05 10:52

Why cant we have a 24hour fitness channel?? We will have a porn channel but no fitness... As if we need help making more babies..

      Maai - 2011-12-05 10:58

You have to be pretty fit to perform like a porn star...Just watch and copy what they do, you will be fit in no time!

      Kevin - 2011-12-05 11:23

If you do it right it is very good exercise

  • Blank - 2011-12-05 11:04

      Kerri- Lee Barlow - 2011-12-05 11:36

Shot dude. I enjoy a good debate ;)

  • Kaybee - 2011-12-05 11:14

we live i a very sexist society & its very unfair to oppose porn on tv.besides nowadays with internet everywhere kids will pick it up elsewhere.....it all boils down to this..teach your kids to be responsible then they wont go anywhere near porn sites.

  • lmtambo - 2011-12-05 11:30
