Cape Town – The City of Gold was the last stop on the season 11 Idols audition tour.
Not to be out down by the City of Gold, judge Somizi showed up looking like a big disco ball, shining bright like an uhm...diamond. The were some good but a whole lot of bad.
In the end 25 golden tickets were awarded at Carnival City.
78 Idols hopefuls have advanced to the dreaded Threatre Week aka Hell Week.
Here are some of the highlights.
The 16-year-olds brought their A-game. We’re a big fan of Loyiso!
And then there was Nina who was the only one who did Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud justice.
This guy even put his own spin on the popular song.
We were very surprised when this ‘former Idol winner’, Nothando showed up.
Back to the good... Keith Basel impressed the judges and us with his beautiful tone!
And Busiswe is another talent that we’ll be keeping our eye on.
And the last golden ticket went to the comeback kid Dineo who sang her own song!
We’d like to apologise for this but there is no way our story would be complete without adding Tebogo.
And SA’s own Chris Brown? (sorry, not sorry)
