3 musical comebacks on The Voice SA that had everyone talking

Cape Town – The Blind Auditions for The Voice SA have reached the halfway mark.

After episode 4 Karen Zoid leads the pack with 9 team members followed by Khan and Lira with 8 members each and Bobby with 7 members.
The latest episode saw three singers stepping up to take their second chance at making it in the music industry.

And everyone was talking about them.

1. Sofaya Nkosi

28-year-old Sofaya Nkosi from Johannesburg nearly was an up and coming singer who gave up on her singing dream. Seven years later her manager found her in a terrible space and then got her back into the love of music.

Sofaya's rendition of Jennifer Hudson's One Night Only had all the coaches turning their chairs.

Not only was her singing a talking point on Twitter but also her interesting hairdo.

2. Francis Bowers

Political Science student, Francis Bowers won a singing contest in Italy and ever since then he's been in search of his next big break.

His dramatic rendition of Adele's, Skyfall had Lira and Kahn turning their chairs.

Twitter was totally feeling Francis.

3. Gavin Edwards

37-year old Gavin has been working abroad for the past 14 years. He entered the fast lane when Brian McFadden from Westlife spotted his band at Sun City and flew them over to LA. While Brian was managing them, Gavin and his band met the likes of Tom Jones and Bono and rubbed shoulders with stars such as Russell Crowe. Over time, he unfortunately also became dependent on alcohol. He knew he had to choose between the bottle and music.

His rendition of A Great Big World's Say Something had Lira, Bobby and Karen press the I Want You button.

Twitter was lit after his performance.
