During the Television Critics Association tour the showrunners and Taraji. P Henson gave some behind-the-scenes and plot details.

1. Mariah Carey was a great to work with

We reported that the diva herself is finally making her appearance on the show. During a panel discussion, Henson, who shares a few scenes with her, said she was great to work with.

“She brings a sense of what Mariah brings to the music industry. She brought it to our show. I’m grateful she spent time with little old us," said Henson

2. Taye Diggs could be Cookie's new love interest

Another familiar face making the round on Empire is Diggs, who will be playing a rich city councilman from an affluent family, Angelo Dubois.
