The local series will have all the bells and whistles of the international one: dancers, wigs, costumes, props and tons of swag.
The first season comprises of 13 half hour episodes.
Each contestant must sync to two songs – one of which will be by an African artist. The winner is chosen by the live studio audience.
3. The contestants
First up to battle it out are ex-lovebirds Boity Thulo and hip hop star Cassyper Nyovest.
By the looks of it the two have been working real hard to be crowned the first lip sync battle winner!
