Cape Town – It's Emmy season and we can’t wait for all the deserving actors and actresses to get dressed up and celebrate their hard work.

Part of the fun at the Emmys include the acceptance speeches, some of them brilliantly prepared and some not so much.

We looked back and found what we thought were 6 of the best acceptance speeches to date.

1) Because Merritt Wever knows that keeping it short and simple is really the way to go.

2) Sally Field doesn’t know how to keep it simple but said some pretty cool stuff.

3) Michael Douglas believes that sharing is caring. What a sweetheart!

4) Julia Louis Dreyfus is always open to some help.

5) And who could forget the all too emotional, inspiring speech Oprah gave?
